Copying Expression Data

Post by Rusty Shackleford »

Is it possible to copy MIDI expression data - modulation, MIDI volume, velocity, etc. - from one MIDI track to replace data on another MIDI track? Thanks in advance.

The problem is selecting the data that goes with the notes you want to copy. That involves converting an event selection into a range selection. There are multiple ways of doing it. Here is how I do it, because it is virtually instantaneous. No menus, searches or anything other than a key command that I set up to be easy and quick. It involves setting up a few commands. Here is the discussion:

Working with Selections in DP

Note: once you understand what the post is saying, and once you have the commands set up, the actual action takes a fraction of a second.
