Is there a function opposite of the Snip function?
Couldn't find anything, so maybe there is a way around this?
Ex: Create a certain amount of empty measures while moving everything(audio, markers, etc...) to the right at the same time. Like I mentioned, the opposite of Snip.
I hope I'm explaining myself right.
cheers

For MIDI, it is just selecting everything you want to shift later and either dragging it, or using the shift process.
For audio, it is a three step. You can select the entire section you want to move later, then COMMAND-Y to make them (audio tracks) a distinct regions. Then drag or shift. Then you can merge everything to make them all one region if that is what you want.
Snip is cutting a region and closing the gap. The opposite (if I understand you) is creating a gap- which presumably would initially not contain anything.

Re: Is there a function opposite of the Snip function?
Thanks!!!
And yes, its for all the tracks!
The work around I found is..
- Selecting the number of bars in the bar ruler to select all tracks (audio and MIDI)
- Cmd+C to copy (for the splice function to know how many bars it is.)
- Cmd+K to splice, so everything shifts to the right the number of measures of the selection you copied.
- Erase the spliced audio/MIDI to create a blank space

That's a quicker workaround. I'll try to remember that. I rarely use the splice function.
