Or Kurzweil. Using some of their VAST algorithms in a VI inside DP would be great. Maybe both companies are still using their respective code for newer synths.

Thanks, I didn't know about the updates. I don't know what I'd do without SysEx Librarian. It's literally the ONLY trustworthy tool on the Mac for doing SysEx dumps such as for OS updates of hardware keyboards and synths, as well as patch saves and loads (especially when you do your own custom synth patches and need a neutral format that will still be archival many years on).

MIDI Monitor gives me a warning message:

Crap, I can't cut/paste it and it's LONG.

Something about an old MIDI Monitor driver, installed in a specific directory, but it ain't there. I looked elsewhere too and didn't see it. If I "OK" and continue, the app launches, but the warning DID say it won't be able to monitor anything due to the old driver.

You might try to search using "Find Any File". It's a nice way to search for files that finder won't let you see.

Let us know if you get it working.

Same here.
This driver problem prevents achieving the *spy* behavior, but basic operations of the software are still ok in my setup.

Snoize just today released another version of MIDI monitor with a bug fix. Don't know if it addresses this, but perhaps.

Thanks for the info. Just downloaded, installed, and launched, but still get the same error.

Maybe things will calm down enough in a few weeks that I can take a deep breath and try some of the suggestions here.
