I have a little Roland KC-110 amp with a built in effect that sends the sound way outside of its physical Dimensions - especially when the same (synth) signal is also being routed to a pair of Roland MA-8 powered speakers which do not have that effect applied, and sit just to the left and the right of the (small) KC-110 amp.
Short of making the amp part of a physical effects loop (which I have done with moderately successful results), does anyone know of a Qsound plug-in for AU or VST (or MAS - beyond the choruses and modulation plug-ins included in DP8 - actually the old Sonic Modulator seems to be the closest that I can come), other than to delay one side by a few miliseconds, and monkey with flipping the phase. Maybe that's my best bet? Or can I make the Master into a 5:1 and just use 2 of the outs? I did go 5:1 a while back, but can't remember if this would be possible.
EDIT - in a way the MS Decoder plug-in is in the ballpark.
Any and all ideas gratefully welcomed appreciated and tested! thanks.
Qsound through a plug-in or 5:1 kludge?

Once upon a time, there were Q-Sound plugins for ProTools. I don't think they've been available since 2006 or so. The web site is long dead.

Yes, thanks, Mike. I did see the ghost of it on a sweetwater instructional page. As you mentioned, qsound.com seems to not be online anymore.

Try this:
Use the DP Analog Chorus plug-in, or the stock chorus plug-in, and follow that with the Spatial Enhancer plug-in. In the Spatial Enhancer, pull down the midrange and highs of the mid band. That should get you a very similar effect.
