Using IAC to get 32 MIDI ports with VEPro?

Post by Steve Steele »

A fellow Logic user says he's using the IAC driver to get 32 MIDI ports in VEPro. I knew this was possible with Bidule and Logic, although I didn't know if some Logic Environment trick was involved.

Anyone know about this, or if it's possible with DP and VEPro? Bypassing the Event Input would be a blessing.

Thanks!

This may be an option.
I use IPmidi to add extra MIDI channels to an instance of VEP pro.
It allows about 20 x 16 channels.
I'm not at the studio now so this is an approx.

I use it to drive two slave computers. One too old to run the latest VEP with the event plugin.
It will also work between apps on one computer.

Free for the Mac version.
Cheers, AB

If you simply add more busses in the IAC driver window in AudioMIDI, do these not show up in VEPro?
