Re: Super Annoying Workflow Issue

The atrophy of QuicKeys got me looking round for options - should it just become too faulty.

I found the great looking X-Keys by P.I.Engineering http://xkeys.com/products.php though a search on Motunation revealed nil topics.

I've been pretty much out of the DAW loop for a long while - just playing & composing - but now I am recording again.

I'd really appreciate any quick advice/warnings to help mitigate the inevitable brain ache.

I use DP7 in MAC OS 10.7.5 and I use high end analogue hardware a lot, but also have plug ins I would like to use:
(Sonnox Oxford EQ & Oxford Reverb, Mach Five 2, NI Kontakt 5, Izotope (RX3 Advanced, Ozone Advanced, Nectar 2 Production Suite, Insight, Alloy,) Altiverb 6, Slate Digital VTM)

I maybe should move to DP8 with Mavericks (or Mountain Lion?) if I can get a bit of reassurance on compatibility & issues :?

OK I'm being a bit lazy asking all this of anyone, but I spend most of my time on having the music in my head before I go near a computer and I'd like the balance that way as much as possible ha ha ha!

Mavericks with DP8 has been awesome for me.

Looks like this (http://keyboardmaestro.com/) may be the best option for me.
Intel 6core 3.33 Ghz Westmere 48 gigs ram, MOTU micro lite, OS 10.9, DP 8.06, Apogee Symphony I/O, PLAY, most WAVES v9 plugs, Slate plugins, Soundtoys, ProTools 10, Kontakt 5, Omni, Stylus, Ivory

+100 for Keyboard Maestro. I switched from QK several years ago and haven't looked back.

Same here. Been using it since about 1987. It's as integrated in my usage as, say, the keyboard, or power cord.
