inserts added automatically

Post by nickysnd »

When I insert in the mixing board a plugin on the bottom slot of the inserts, DP automatically adds a new line of inserts below. Is there a way to prevent that?

I think there's a switch for this in the Preferences or in the mixer mini-menu.

Tascam DM-24, MOTU Track 16, all Spectrasonics' stuff,
Vienna Instruments SUPER PACKAGE, Waves Mercury, slaved iMac and Mac Minis running VEP 7, etc.

'Automatically Add Inserts' in the Mixing Board mini menu.

I don't see that in the minimenu. I'm in DP7.

Mini menu> Set number of Effect inserts. I don't think that is exactly what you want, but I think it's the best you can do in DP7.

Am I reading this right- that DP8 has an option to turn that 'feature' off?
That's been a pet peeve of mine for years.
"Set number of effect inserts" is not really a solution because it doesn't stick.
May be time to upgrade finally (I'm a late upgrader by choice).

Thanks NazRat - even if I had upgraded I may not have known about that.
