This is kind of too good to pass up, for anyone that is looking for this, a few more days at 75% off:

I'm probably finally going to pick up the concert strings and concert brass and maybe that new solo strings kit..

Wow. That's a significant discount even when compared to the group buy. $62 for Spotlight Strings is insane. I bought that library under the group buy, but have not really had a chance to get deeply into it. From the little I have fiddled around with it (pun intended) it appears promising.

Anyone here have more experience with it? For that matter, does anyone here have experience with any of his string libraries? What do you think?

I wonder if business is going ok for KH....?

Thx.

Has anyone tried the EXS version? I don't have Kontakt and wouldn't get it just to play one library, but I can set up Logic as an external VI, if the EXS version is working well.

Here is Kirk's description of the difference between Kontakt and EXS(last question and answer on the page):

http://www.kirkhunterstudios.com/faq.html

I've owned Diamond for a long time and simply love it. I like to to think of Kirk Hunter as a boutique orchestra sample library developer. He's a small shop, does really interesting and unique things with it, ESPECIALLY strings. He puts a lot of attention into sampling detail about how the various samples from different instruments blend with each other.

He's been around a long time and not going anywhere.

I bought Concert Strings 2. The email with download links arrived immediately, the downloads all unzipped with no errors, (20G+) and it all works well. At 75% off, I couldn't pass this up.

As I was trying out the presets, I realized, no copy protection ?!?!

I ended up getting Concert Strings, Concert Brass and also the Spotlight Strings, which I am quite impressed with. Concert Strings supposedly has that Easy String Arranger thing hidden in there somewhere, which is supposed to make it easy to play string stuff with two hands on the keyboard in one pass and have it do a much of automatic stuff to different part samples, etc.. I can't seem to find it yet though.
