I found a link here:

http://eventideplugins.elasticbeanstalk ... hannel.jsp

ButI do not know exactly what this "elasticbeanstalk.com" domain means? Best I could gather is it's a way to distribute software through Amazon? So this is legit and sanctioned by Eventide? I'm guessing it is if they deposit an iLok license for it. Interesting.

It's a legit offer and a really nice channel strip. For what it's worth ,I used the code listed on their announcement @ Gearslutz-0B4968F2.

Yes indeed. I just downloaded it and my iLok license was deposited almost instantly after submitting the form. Cool plug!

Grab it while you can.
The pitch shift option is great.

I'm just curious which components within this plug-in are far superior to, say, DP's native EQ, etc. I also have a couple other channel strips, but wonder what the significant sonic difference would be with Eventide's?

I know it is free, but I have to weigh the "cost" of setting up an iLok acct, learning a new plug, etc.

Sounds like maybe I should just shut up and get it.

The built-in pitch shift and stereo delays are things not typically found in channel strip plugs.

Got it - best plugin for the money I've seen all week!

Yeah...those sure aren't my other channel strips (Metric Halo, Waves Renn).

Yea, if you've never used it, the new iLok License Manager takes a couple of minutes to learn. It's not intuitive but you'll figure it out soon enough. This is the perfect opportunity since someone will be depositing a license into the account. The license manager only runs when a license is being added or released. It does not run otherwise.

It's nice that many newer plugs can use it without the hardware dongle. Other companies are using it now - some for their freebies and upgrades as well.

This download was quick, the license was sitting in my iLok account in seconds. This allows two installations without an iLok, iLok only or iLok and one other computer.

Yep, best money I've not spent all month!

The trade-off is that you will get marketing email from Eventide. I know what to do with that.

Not sure I understand what this means? I've launched iLok License Manager many times just to look at what is residing on my iLok. I do have a pending license that I've never installed because it's a duplicate, but seems odd that it wouldn't run unless you had a pending one. Confused.
