DP8- how to open the Notation Editor?

Post by SMS »

The manual says Option-Control double-click the track, but control activates the contextual menu...

Thanks

Interesting. What page, by chance? I just tried and had the same issue. Well you might just have to click the contextual menu and choose "Notation Editor." That worked. May need to report that one to the unicorn. :unicorn:

That's a good one too! :) I suppose if you wanted to keep at least one hand on the mouse, you'd want the other option. But in general, learning the shortcuts does speed things up quite a bit. :)

Well, SHIFT-N isn't that hard to do with one hand.

True enough. But if it IS in the manual, and it IS broken, MOTU might want to know and either fix the option-doubleclick or edit the manual.

Has there ever been a topic for manual errata? Would it be useful to have one?

Opening the Notation Editor is the least of its problems. It's the one area of DP I'd love to see more fully developed and which never seems to get any love.
