Sample Logic Rumble for $29.99

Post by rnappi »

If you're in the market for a drumline/efx library, you can get boxed versions of Rumble for $29.99 at Amazon, Musician's Friend, Music 123, & Woodwind and Brasswind.

At 90% off, it's a pretty good deal.

I wasn't in the market for a drum line library, but I picked it up anyway!

:D

I suspect I'll find a use. It seems like a well-made library. Thanks for the tip.

Very cool, I actually have wanted a good 'big' percussion library, off to cash in my pennies.
M2 Studio Ultra, RME Babyface FS, Slate Raven Mti2, NI SL88 MKII, Linnstrument, MPC Live II, Launchpad MK3. Hundreds of plug ins.

Same with me. I'm going broke with all these $30.00 deals.

All sorts of deals out there now. I have less sympathy than ever for the pirate types who steal software, when there are so many deals that can be had.

I just picked up SampleMoog from IK for $20.99 after applying my "Jam Points." Yes, I have to run it with 32 Lives, but hey... it works and you can't beat the price.

On the Rumble page it says:
Sample Logic wrote:All together, Rumble boasts over 40 screens of powerful, intuitive user interface controls!
40 screens of controls? I'm not sure I could master a drum VI with 40 screens of controls. I wonder if they have a module for Model 12? (just kidding, of course, but really... 40 screens? Vienna manages to do it in 1. Or an alternate one, so let's say 2.

Yeah, but for $30 you won't have to feel too bad about not mastering it. For that matter, you could leave the box unopened and use it as a cup holder and still feel pretty good about things. :D

Have you been snooping around my studio?
I have a few boxes with which I've done exactly that. Until a few months ago, I'd had Sibelius under a coffee cup for over a year. Kontakt 5 had no coffee, but was a bookend on a shelf. Both still had the shrink wrap on!

They are now part of my system. Who knows how many other things are over there on the shelf. You get them with good intentions, especially when there are sales. At some point you quit thinking about them until you need one and realize it's not installed.

Now that Kontakt and Sibelius are installed, maybe I DO need another cup holder!

This happened to me last night, though not with a physical install disk. I was looking for files to remove from my system drive so it would fit on an SSD. I kept hitting command-I to get folder sizes and then had a hunch that one of the bundles I've purchased the last few years included an app called WhatSize that might show folder sizes. Sure enough - I had a license, but had never downloaded or installed it. Turns out the license even worked for the latest version (a whole-number release later than the one I'd bought). I certainly don't make great use of every piece of software I pick up on sale, but this app turned out to be really helpful.

Very funny, those are some pricey bookends.

I do pretty good getting my stuff installed, but a lot of it quickly disappears into the abyss that is my apps/plugs/samples collections. A couple years back, I got a crossgrade from MachFive to Kontakt for $100 and have since gone on an uncontrollable VI spending spree. I try to incorporate whatever I buy into a job a least once to justify purchase, but admittedly, I've developed a serious problem that probably requires therapy, thorazine and/or a straight jacket.
