Please recommend a good Transient shaper plug-in...

Post by FMiguelez »

Hello.

I've seen the Sonnox in action, and I like it a lot.
The thing is that I've just spent a bunch of money on my new system, so I'm officially out of funds for the next couple of months... A free or cheaper one will do in the mean time...

Which ones do you like, and why? (free or not)

Any recommendations that work well with DP8 and Mavericks (64 bit)??

Thanks!

Don't forget that the Metric Halo sale was for their transient shaper as well as the channel strip. I know little about it, but I think someone said you could trial it, and it was only $15 for this month.

I have no experience with it, so can't give you an assessment on quality, but I just received an email from Waves this morning that their Trans-X is on sale for $49.

Alloy 2 has one.
Anything else I tried with this one has been great.
Can't comment seriously about the transient shaper, though.

+1 from me.
Excellent for adding front to prominent sounds.
At the same time you can smooth and round out supporting tracks.

Kind of like asking a guitarist to turn it down for the sake of others. Counter intuitive and possibly heretical.

Wow!
Now, that's what I call having lots of options! :)

They look very interesting. Especially the Waves one... I think I have some "points" I could use with them, so I pay less.

I will check all your suggestions and shoot for the best one.

Thank you, guys!

I saw this video on how to use Bittersweet Pro today. Most impressive.

For what I do, I'm not certain that the $99 is well spent but I can see how useful it would be for others.

There's also the free version.

If you have a recent NI Komplete, you should have their version.

I also use the SPL. So far it has been very useful.
