How are tracks in the MIDI editor audio enabled

Post by Topo »

Dumb little thing that is eluding me. Some tracks don't produce an audible note when I select them in the editor. Other tracks are fine, and I can hear all the notes when I click on them. I've checked them to be play enabled in the tracks and mixer...they appear in the track selector....I know there's some activator I'm missing. thanks for the help

If you are working with a VI, open that VI window and in the little mini menu on the upper right corner, check the option "Run this instance in realtime" (or something like that). That will make those shy notes start making some sounds.

Never thought about that one - I usually just put the track record button on and that makes the editing audible.
