Monitor Latency , 2408, Pre8 and new 828

Post by apanacci »

Hey guys, I have the original 2408. I do have the Pre8 also. I am thinking of of getting rid of the 2408 and getting the new 828. I have a Mac Pro 2009 so I do not have Thunderbolt. But having a Thunderbolt connection on a Mac is the latency better or having Firewire 800 just as good. I am monitoring thru the hardware at this point in time so I get no latency. Will like to monitor thru efx. Looking ahead to maybe buy a new MacPro at sometime, thanks.

DAW software monitoring is the weak link, not the physical interface.
