Synchronizing Event List,Track selection and MIDI or SE?

Post by wvandyck »

What I would like is for the Event List to update to the contents of the selected track whether the track is selected in the T.O., the MIDI editor, or the S.E.

I know that scrolling to the Mixer Board Selection occurs with one mouse click when
- a track is selected in the T.O, S.E. or Event List

- Option-clicking on the Track Selector in the MIDI edit window

Is there a way to synchronize track selection and the Event List contents with a single mouse click when track selection occurs in the T.O., MIDI editor or the S.E.?

Ok, how about 2 out 'a three?

I'd really be happy if the Event List would update based on Track Selector changes in the MIDI edit window. The Mixing Board selection is a little less important for what I want.

Anyone?

It makes sense that the MIDI editor window and Event List should have a preference to update together.

has there been an update to this ?

I also would like the Event List to automatically update/switch to the selected track when I either go into the MIDI editor or when I select a specific track in the Track Selector window...

I know there is a keyboard shortcut to open a specific track in the Event List from the Track Editor window (but that only seems to work there)... I need something like that when I'm in the MIDI editor...

It is very time consuming to manually select a track in the Event List track selector when you have hundreds of MIDI tracks...

Thanks.
