Nothing...I've sent 4 over the past 2 weeks, and nothing. Unfortunately, that might be the unanswered, answer. :(

Well... I will try calling Frontier on the telephone... (I know it's old school but maybe we can get an answer that way - ya know - appeal to someone's good nature :) - or... try a good old fashioned bribe  )

I also didn't get any news from them. It would be pity to let go of it. I like my MC Control but it is a little too big to transport around in my backpack :-)

I just sent my 5th email in three weeks via their support page literally begging them to please just give an answer to whether they are going to support DP8...I told them that it was fine if they weren't but we just needed an answer so we'd know what direction to turn.

Well, after numerous attempts to get an answer from Frontier Design Group on AlphaTrack, I've finally given up. Looks as if all distributors have stopped selling and tech support at Frontier Design Group has gone silent. Very sad.

But, I'm happy to report that I just purchased the Presonus FaderPort and it performs beautifully on DP and Mountain Lion. Other than the LED window, I don't miss a thing.

So, anyone that has become dependent on the automated single fader as I have, FaderPort is a winner.

Well I haven't completely given up - after finding out they have 5 extension telephone lines, and no one answering them when I called. But I will try a couple more times at various hours. Maybe we'll get lucky... :headbang:

Try the secret code.
5 rings then hang up.
Then dial back.

Isn't the issue not so much that it doesn't work with DP8, but it doesn't work with DP8 in 64-bit mode?

I too am SO disappointed that Alphatrack isn't 64 bit for DP 8 - I see some of you have tried the PreSonus Faderport - when you highlight a track in DP, does the fader port recognize and let you do "flying faders"? That is the most important function I need. Would love to hear back soon from anyone who knows.....thanks

It does recognize when you highlight a track, but at the moment, only in 32bit mode...even though the current Faderport software drivers are 64bit for some reason it doesn't work with DP8 64bit. I'm currently talking with Presonus tech trying to figure this one out. Hopefully, they'll have a new driver out soon to remedy this. If I get a solid answer I'll definitely post it here...the Faderport is a great unit.

Thanks! Please keep me posted - I just ordered a Presonus FaderPort and if it doesn't have that function, it's really is pretty useless for my purposes!

Just spoke with Presonus tech support again and they are telling me that this is an update that they are working on (DP8 64bit)...they couldn't give me any time table to when they would have an updated driver but they are definitely working on it. That's really good news as far as I'm concerned.

It sounded like there was a communication problem between MOTU and Presonus and they had almost dropped their support for MOTU...but, now MOTU is supplying them with the necessary info to "fix this."

Adam from Presonus tech will keep me updated of the progress and I'll do the same here.

I finally get ALL of my software plugs 64bit, switch over and then lose my Faderport...go figure! It's always something!

Thanks so much for following up with me. I am very glad to hear this - I can't believe that DP doesn't have a way to just bring up the tracks you want in the mixer from the Tracks Window.
I love the track selector for each window, but I wish there was a global feature so that it would define any window you bring up. Do you know if this exists?

I think it used to be that way in an older version. But we know from a long history with Motu that they give great new features, but often eliminate others we have become dependent on.

I'll look forward to hearing from you when you know more.
