Running 2 "Instances" of DP

Is it possible to run 2 "instances" or 2 different versions of DP simultaneously on the same Mac? I use DP live in concert to automate our live audio mix "in the box" (mixerless) with a MOTU 828 MKIII while DP also provides backing tracks and MIDI automation to our lighting controller. Our whole setlist is in one chunk. I would love to assign each song to a separate chunk so I could attach a separate video clip to each chunk to project live onstage. In the past, I found that using separate chunks causes our live sound to go temporarily silent when switching from one chunk to another, which is unacceptable since we are talking to the audience while switching chunks.

I've considered running DP on 2 separate Macs: Running separate chunks with music backing tracks and video clips on one Mac, then feeding the audio out into the other Mac where the glitch-less automated mixing can take place all in one chunk. I would have to sync the two machines together, of course. I'm just wondering: Is there any way to do this all on one Mac? Or can anyone recommend another economical piece of software that can play multiple video clips and sync to MIDI timecode? I would need to assign each clip a start time coinciding with the start of a song in DP. Thanks in advance for your advice!
Doug

I have the same versions - on different macs, networked, and accessing the sam disk ( connected to 1 of the macs )
The second DP gives the error 'can't save.... use another name or disk' all the time...
Just an information, I think it can happen also when another app uses the same files as DP

Best
