Re: MATRIK Digital Audio Patchbay
I'm very tired, and I don't want to read everything word-for-word, but scanning it, I think it's something I've been wanting very much for a long, long time -- decades -- so I went ahead and bought it. If this works, it will greatly simplify some of the projects I do.
Also, I don't know how many of you know about this, but WireTap Studio (Ambrosia Software) is kind of in limbo as regards Lion OS. Seems that Apple's sandboxing trend, for security's sake, is shoving apps like WireTap out of the picture. Essentially, WireTap "hacks" the audio system in the Mac, which is exactly what Apple doesn't want anyone doing. We're seeing more isolation, less openness. I'm not criticizing; just observing the trends in these troubled times of theft, piracy, and trojans.
So, if this is going to give us access to ANY audio stream in the Mac, and if it allows us to route it to any other audio stream, then it might be just the thing to give back what is being taken from us. We'll see about that when I have more time to read, and more energy to put into comprehension.
So, I bought it. Don't know when I'll get around to using it, but it looks interesting. Might be worthy of checking it out.

It didn't seem to me that it does any more routing that you can do with Cuemix, but I haven't tried it yet. If it can do what Wiretap does, and it made the App Store, it would be strange that Wiretap couldn't make it.

Re: MATRIK Digital Audio Patchbay
Well, the price was right. If it turns out to be of no extra utility than what I already have, then the loss isn't going to break me!

What about Soundflower? I retired WireTap after switching over. Or am I missing the point?

JackOSX already does this for free. I don't see the $5 advantage. Enlighten me.
