Klaus, I went back and read that thread. It seems that you are using Cuemix. Are you sure that the problem is with DP? It could be a Cuemix bug. Also, 2:1 sounds awfully suspicious. Could be a routing problem. I don't use Cuemix, so I can't verify, but I've had no problems of this nature with DP 7.

Who knows. I do know that if you have Cue Mix and DP open at the same time, and both have an input enabled, it will increase the volume coming in. One signal will come from CueMix and the other from DP and it will combine. I sometimes use this intentionally to get more gain when monitoring an incoming signal if I'm tracking to a mix that I have limiter/compressor affecting.

It often introduces some phunky phasing phun. So if you want to get your phill of phantastic phasaliciousness, turn that phucker right on!

If not, either turn audio monitoring off in DP or mute CueMix.

I meant this feature : Hardware input monitoring
is unusable, not DP...
Imagine, having setup a rec monitor mix, then recording, then playing back what was recorded, at completely different levels, as I said,
each track will be 2:1 louder, i.e. instead playing at -20 dB, it plays at -10dB, isn't this unusable ?
I would like to *not* use Cuemix FX when recording...

...and I think I noted that this bug shows regardless of using Cuemix FX or not, and I also noted that there is absolutely *no* double routing / monitoring via Cuemix FX going on.

This bug was confirmed here also

http://www.motunation.com/forum/viewtop ... 74#p376541" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If someone with a 896mkIII could test and confirm this is not true, I'm open to learn and adjust my rig. Tests with other mkIII interfaces are welcome too, to narrow down...

Thanks

and best to all

The problem here is that DP controls CueMix, sorta.
If you make the tracks not play (unclick the blue triangle, sorry I forget the right terminology) it works. But it's a drag having to turn them on again to listen to the take etc.

I've requested this too (having DP NOT control CueMix).
DPs control over CueMix seem to work fine only when all inputs have it's own corresponding output...
Another pet peeve is that DPs transport controls don't work when in CueMix and CueMix's talkback shortcut don't work when in DP...

Maybe so. I guess we have to deal with it until it's fixed. It sounds incovenient, as hassle, a PITA. "Unusable?" I dunno... YMMV.

Just upgrade them on the Waves site, but don't install them. They'll create your Waves Cloud Account so they'll be ready when you need them. Your V8 stuff will still work off the iLok - you don't have to surrender a license or anything. Check with Waves if you have any questions.
