A fully 2D GUI would be great! I think I've been converted by Live's flatness! :lol:

If MOTU ever would hire you for Theme developement, THIS should be the default theme. Feels a bit retro DP5 MOTUish.

Agree - it probably should be the default DP theme adopted by Motu.

DP8.02 caused a contrast problem in certain buttons in some of the AmpGUI themes. I made a list of all the themes that Andy has updated for DP8, so far, then added some screenshots of how each was affected in DP8.02. This post is a copy of a reply I made to a thread in the Troubleshooting forum. Under the circumstances, I think it belongs in this thread:

Here is a list of current AmpGUI themes and some illustrations of how they look in DP8.02:
  • Mellow 8v7 - Obliteration of button labels is total in some windows: needs fixing. You may need to switch to one of those below while waiting for a fix. However, if you can remember which buttons mean what, you can still use this. Most of the interface is unaffected. The affected buttons are mainly those at the bottom of windows, signifying your choice of actions. (Apply, Cancel, etc.)

    Oxidized 8v2 - Unaffected: No Problem at all

    Gotham 8v2 - Partial problem; can still be used while waiting for a fix. Most buttons can easily be read, while only a few require a little closer look, but all can be read.

    Clean V1 for DP8 - Partial problem; can still be used while waiting for a fix.

    Sharp 8v2 - Problem exists, but the words are readable. Can be used while waiting for next version.

    Warmer 8v2 - Unaffected: No Problem at all

So, while we all know that upgrades often break things, most of Andy's themes are still completely usable, and some are not affected at all. There is no problem in continuing to use the themes while waiting for Andy's fix, which could take a while, depending on his schedule. Or, you can switch to one of the less-affected themes. In any case, this is merely a cosmetic issue, even though it causes difficulty in knowing which button to click in the worst cases. In most cases, you can continue using your theme without incident.

Oh no. This saddens me. Affect my precious mellow 7? oh no you dont ! :)

So they fix VEP and break mellow. I guess I won one , and lost one. boo-hoo.
AMPGUI themes - Andy rocks!, 3 macs, MacPro 768GB ram, 16core OS11.7.10, DP11.31, all Waves, all SLATE, PSP, IK multimedia & Audioease plugs, all PAlliance, Softube, tons of NI VI's all air Spitfire, all Audiobro, all Berlin, EW PLAY, LLizard, MachFive3, Kontakt5, Omnisphere, RMX, LASS, all Soundtoys, Lexicon AU's, melodyne and others I know am forgetting, cause I'm old...Also mucho outboard rigs, MTPs, DTP, antelope WC, and 4 control surfaces with Raven.

On a somewhat related note, that wild green Lattuga Gustosissima theme that was missing in 8.0.1 has mysteriously returned....
