PSP Audioware finally created an OS X version of the free PianoVerb.

http://www.pspaudioware.com/plugins/rev ... pianoverb/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Free, but requires registration/authorization. A fun, quirky plug!

Enjoy!

Well, my bundles have only ever gone crazy once, and that was after I installed the plugs and app. Ended up with about 5 copies of all bundles. It messed up my MIDI configs and I lost all "contact" with my interfaces for a while. Crazy.

Even worse, I couldn't get sound through the plugs/app after exploring every option I could find for at least an hour. Too bad. Thank you for the heads up anyway, melenko. :D

Hey, please don't feel bad, melenko. It was interesting to peruse the menus of the app. Impressive, but personally I've a lot of work to do before I'd even contemplate that level of control. IOW, lots o' muzac to make first. Nevertheless, as I suggested, it provided stimulating insight as to the possibilities down the track. Thank you again man. :D

Have you tested Crystal yet? I don't post VI links without first having tested the apps (I did once I think and it turned out to be a dud). I made an exception in Crystal's case 'though 'cause it worked in every version of DP I tried it in over several years and updates and thus earned my confidence. I've obviously assumed this stellar record would continue to play out, so to speak. Fingers crossed. I wonder if much has changed or if it's just some sort of compatibility update. Hmm... :?

Do you have the Ethnic, Orchestral & Synth soundfonts in your prefs folder? They reside in the "CrystalSoundFonts" folder. You can also keep extra banks in the"CrystalPatchBanks" folder, also in your prefs folder. I've got Ambient1, Motifs1, samplerom1examples, TimCrystal1, TimCrystal2, TimsCrystalBank1, TimsCrystalBank2 and Vintage1 sitting in there. I don't know whether or not the TC banks are repeats or not. The soundfonts are 22MB for all three, and I cannot remember where I found the extra preset banks (.fxb). If you decide to put the plug to some use, you may want to google these files as from what I can remember the original advice was that they were critical to getting the most out of the plug.

Unfortunately, it looks like Music Unfolding has discontinued it's line. I'm looking for a straightforward parametric EQ that works in someway similar to ParaEQ or MW EQ, but in AU form. SonEQ looks good, and I downloaded it, but I'd like to find something a bit more traditional, too. Any thoughts?

Prime Mover, it would seem that free EQ plugs constitute the thinnest-on-the-ground flavour out there. No surprise, really, as they don't make noises or mangle sounds excitingly. I had a look in my free plugs folder, and these may be useful:

Blue Cat Triple EQ:
http://www.bluecataudio.com/Download/Home/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

MeldaProduction-MEqualizer (6 bands):
http://www.meldaproduction.com/plugins/ ... yword=free" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Reign Design-5 & 20 Band Eq:
http://www.reign-pro.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The RD ones are a part of the SonicBirth Collection, and although I suspect they're GEQs, the collection may appeal:

FX & Processors
5 Band Eq.component
20 Bands Eq.component
Buff rice.component
Compressor.component
Convolution reverb mono.component
Convolution reverb stereo.component
Funky repeater.component
Gate.component
Limiter.component
Multiband freeverb.component
Multiband scraper.component
Simple reverb.component
Swamp buffer.component
Valve warmer.component

Utils
DC Blocker.component
Hum remover.component
MIDI Filter.component
SonicBirth Design.component
Width Enhancer.component

Crystal Update
Tested OK. No obvious changes. The additional patch banks I mentioned did not load. The instructions suggest using one's host to load them, but DP doesn't offer this feature. Placing them in an .aupreset folder doesn't work either. They used to appear automatically in previous versions. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi Monkeyman,

concerning the Crystal update. The 2 Folders CrystalPatchBanks and CrystalSoundFonts have found a new home. They are now or rather should be residing in a folder called Crystal located inside your local Application Support folder. Just move them there and everything will be back to normal. :wink:

Yay! Just what I was hoping for, jkramlofsky. After exploring all other possibilities within my grasp, I could only hope that a relocation was necessary, and "lo", it was so! Ripper.

That's fantastic man. Thank you, jkramlofsky!
