Anyone know of a nice, effective exciter plugin (preferably freeware / shareware)? Need one for my on-the-road voiceover rig...

If anyone can remember some good sources of free OS9/DP2.7 - 3.11 plugs and VI's I'd be very grateful.

"Excitifier" is not too bad if used carefully.

Has anyone had success with MDA's Talkbox in DP5?

Anybody who has a VST wrapper, especially those without DP 5, might be interested in LinPlug's Free Alpha. It is a lot like DP 5's simple analog-style synths, possibly better, and quite usable.

Minion is a very interesting effect plugin. I think it might still be VST-only (I've used it with Peak and Tracktion as VST). Don't know if it wraps to AU correctly.

Go to the Minion link at the left of the page.

Also, daHornet is a nifty instrument.

You have to scroll almost to the bottom of the page, and it's on the left side. AU and VST. Make sure to grab the serial number from just underneath the download link in order to activate the installation.

reFx has a nice free vsti. the claw if you have the vst wrapper. it has never caused dp to crash and it sounds amazing. very simple but you can get some amazing things out of it.
