I like how that during the AU verification process, Soundtoys pops up an authentication screen that logs into your iLok account. It asks whether you want the license stored on your iLok or computer. Make your selection and you're done.

Nice! Everyone else should take notice. :woohoo:

I forgot I had a Sound Radix account — didn't remember that's where 32Lives comes from. Anyway, while there, I downloaded and installed the v.2 Public Beta of 32Lives and found MuteoMatic, another freebie in the "My Downloads" section.

MuteOMatic is an automated talk-back switch.

I make it a point never to talk to the talent. It looks bad.

(I hate it when people catch me talking to myself!)

If this would help, however...

Terry

[Edit - I just looked it over, and I am certain it would make me even worse...]

Re: The free VI's/plugs list: Chordz

Post by terrybritton »

This was just mentioned over at the Cantabile forum. It is called Chordz.

It is a utility for playing entire chords from a single key press. That key press can be any note, from a keyboard, a drum pad, or from a sequencer MIDI playback.

Forum member there Howifeel says this about it:
I cant believe how awesome that plugin is. Chordz allows me to hold a massive pad in omnisphere 2 changing chords with the song while playing piano over the pads. What a great Plugin!!
http://www.codefn42.com/chordz/index.html

Free, and comes in both 32 and 64 bit formats.

It might be possible to create something similar within DP using the MIDI insert plugin and the Transpose Custom Scale maps. I'm wanting to test to see what happens with multiple Transpose inserts. Hmmmm.

EDIT: I think it is possible, but it wouldn't be especially quick or easy. I suppose with some planning it could be done. I think MainStage3 added a MIDI process that also does this, but I don't know if it has the same flexibility as DP's custom map.

At the Cantabile forum, they were also discussing using a free arpeggiator with a hold function in order to keep the notes on using a sustain pedal or controller MIDI pedal of some other kind. See post here.

The arpeggiator suggested was Blue Arp. I had trouble keeping that stable around six months ago, and so abandoned it, but these things are constantly improved upon. (Indeed, I just checked and I had an older version.) Any arpeggiator with a hold function should work.

As mentioned elsewhere, but should be posted here:

http://www.cakewalk.com/products/CA-2A/Free

This is a well-regarded take on a LA-2A Leveling Amplifier emulation. Now free!

EDIT - I just found a link to an Electronic Musician magazine review of this CA-2A plugin, which normally apparently retails for $79.
