For folks attending NAMM 2017...

Post by bralston »

For anyone going to the NAMM show down in Anaheim later this week, I will be giving two presentations at the MOTU booth on Saturday, Jan 21st at 12:45pm and 3:45pm. I will show how I use Digital Performer to score films and go through an example of how I have set up my scoring template, how I spot a scene, find tempos, export for delivery and more. I invite you to stop by and check it out on Saturday. Hope to see you there. :headbang:

I do believe it will be recorded Terry as I had to make sure footage from the film used in the demonstration was cleared...but it is up to MOTU on if and how they will use that footage as part of their online NAMM presentation. I would follow and check MOTU's home page, Facebook page and YouTube channels regarding possible NAMM footage.

I'm curious about this. Spectrasonic's FB page says: Very excited to drop something special Thursday that's gonna make a whole lot of Keyscape+Omnisphere users extremely happy. ...not sure what that means.

Those videos were not live but were made either pre or post NAMM 2016. It doesn't matter really as it's the same info. But there were no MOTU cameras running and the live demos by independents, including me, never were captured. Just sayin'

They were taken at NAMM last year on one of the days and posted after the show on MOTU's website at the news page above. Yes...they have never streamed them live. And they don't record every presentation of every day. Depends on the day one goes. We shall see what they do this year.

I'm considering buying too, albeit reluctantly. Still feels like I'm buying something that's well covered in my existing libraries. Basically I'd be buying 1200 new Omnisphere patches ...which is still a good deal to be sure.

For anyone getting off the fence, discount code Forum at JRRshop.com makes Keyscape $337

Thanks.

But I have to wait until I bump up my OSX a bit. Requires 10.9 minimum and I'm so solid with ML 10.8.5...

But...can't get left behind, so update is increasingly imminent.

Well, I noticed this today on a VI-Control post from Sept. So it probably will work in the future.
