ANYONE have the Ultralite Mk4 working flawlessly on Mojave?

Howdy...

On both High Sierra and now Mojave, my Ultralite Mk4 will not work correctly...

With no drivers installed, I get great 16-ch in and out from the interface with no issues, but then of course, I can't access the web-mixer or any of those features.

With the latest drivers installed, I can access the web mixer with no problems, but the interface cuts out at random intervals, and sometimes distorts the output until I restart...

Been through it with MOTU Tech Support. They have no help to offer. Latest drivers are from October! So this has been months now!

Anyone else having a better experience?

Nope.

I seem to be having a similar issue. With no driver, I can record all channels just fine, but have no interface control. With the Pro Audio driver, I can only record static, nothing, or pops on each channel (in random order each time), but at least I can configure the box.

Needless to say, I'm slightly frustrated.

If you connect an Ethernet cable to your network and the Mk4, I think you should be able to log into the AVB Mixer by entering the unit's IP address into your browser. If this works, you should be able to use the built-in macOS driver AND access the AVB Mixer.

I have. Unfortunately, that firmware is older still than the malfunctioning drivers

Yes, I have the newest firmware and the newest drivers, and have the issues on a fresh install of Sierra, High Sierra and Mojave with no other software installed, just listening in iTunes.

I spoke with MOTU Support again yesterday. No new news. Aware of the problem, but no fix.

They suggested it was Apple's fault, and that they would be fixing their 'core audio' in an upcoming release

Hope you're well. I wanted to share a bit of information with you. A few customers have recently solved their USB dropout problems by upgrading to OS 10.14.2, resetting their PRAM, and then reinstalling the MOTU Pro Audio driver.

Hey guys,

I saw this thread before purchasing an Ultralight mk4 and it had me worried. I'm pleased to report though that all systems are go. It appears to be working great.

2018 Mac Mini i5
Latest greatest OSX Mojave
Ultralight mk4, latest firmware, latest drivers

The only odd thing i did was use an Apple USB-C to USB adapter to connect it. This is because i wanted the interface to have its own special "lane". I did not try using the Mac Mini's USB-A ports as they're full.

I solved all of my issues, by buying one of these: https://www.amazon.com/CalDigit-Thunder ... C63BC&th=1

and running the Ultralite Mk4 through the USB port on that, which puts it on the Dock's USB controller, rather than the internal USB controllers of my Macbook Pro 2018.

Interesting, i wonder if the only reason mine is working is because i happened to use the USBC to USB adapter on a thunderbolt port.
