No signal Input 3

Hi,

I have a MOTU Ultralite and Logic 8.

I'm using 2 Mics into MOTU Inputs 1 and 2, then bypassing the MOTU preamps to a into a pendulum preamp. I also want to plug my guitar direct into the MOTU and use those preamps.

I plugged the guitar direct into input 3 on the MOTU and set up Logic 8 with a 3rd input and outputs to 3-4. I'm not getting a signal.

Do you have any ideas?
