Cuemix not responding to OSC commands

Post by frank777 »

Hi, I am trying now for hours to get Cuemix to work with OSC.

I tried TouchOSC and OSCulator, both recognize Cuemix and receive events from Cuemix, however I am unable to send a command to Cuemix, it just dont react. Especially I am trying to send a "mute" signal to the mic input ("/mix/mute/1/1").

In Cuemix the OSC device (both the ipad or the OSCulator) is found and selected. "Enable Control Surfaces" and "Follow control surfaces" is checked too. I tried the same thing on another computer with a fresh installed Cuemix, and its the same problem.

Any help is appreciated!

I take it you are trying to use MOTU's own layout:

I've had this working before, and I'll try it again to see if I can replicate your problem.

Thanks for your reply.

Well, I tried, but I was unable to get it synced over Wifi from Cuemix to TouchOSC. It just did not show up in TouchOSC, even clicking multiple times on "Sync" in the OSC settings in Cuemix. The way with transferring it through iTunes does not work anymore as the latest iTunes does not allow to sync Apps anymore.

You didn't mention this, but did you use the TouchOSC Editor to send the layouts to your mobile device? (At the bottom of this page - you need Java to run it.)
