Briefly:
Recording a MIDI track live, in real-time, to a Stereo Audio track using UltraLite interface.
Output: MIDI track is Analog 1-2 out.
Input: Stereo Audio track is Analog 3-4 in.
Getting what sounds like a high-pitched feedback loop hiss when the Stereo Audio track record button is engaged.
Why?

Re: Ultralite Hiss
Perhaps you have a feedback loop going on between two of the mixes in CueMix? (I have definitely done that.) With 8 possible mixes, it is easy to do (especially if you use a loopback cable in your S/PDIF like I do to send system audio out to the DAW!)
In your case, if one of the mixes sending to Analog 1-2 includes Analog 3-4, cabling the two together will result in feedback. Why are you routing the MIDI track via cable? Or do I misunderstand that part?

Let us know what you discover. Perhaps a factory reset of the Ultralite will remove any wayward CueMix setups internally - just be certain to save your configuration in CueMix first so you can get it back and do more detective work afterward.Output: MIDI track is Analog 1-2 out.
Input: Stereo Audio track is Analog 3-4 in.

Re: Ultralite Hiss
Yes! The Output in CueMix was set to Analog 1-2. Upon changing it to Main Out 1-2, the hiss is gone!
THANK YOU!!!
