Connecting 828 mk2 to SP-404??

Hi, I recently purchased used unit of 828 mk2.
I tried to hook up SP-404 to 828 to sample from iTunes but the sound doesn't come out from analog outs on the rear panel.
My set up is simple. I just hooked up 828 to macbook pro and I can hear music playing in iTunes and I can record in Logic using front inputs and rear inputs perfectly.
Now, when I plugged 828(rear analog outs) into SP-404 using 1/4" cable(L/R), the sound is not coming through. SP-404 is working just fine as I can record from turntables but just with 828, no sound...I was able to sample from iTunes with TC Electronic ImpactTwin using 1/4" output so I thought the same routing applies to 828.
I tried to look up if there's any setting for analog outs within Audio Setup, CueMix and Audio/MIDI configure but none worked. The owners manual doesn't seem to cover this either so I'm totally stuck:(
