Is there a trick to enable MOTU AVB Devices on 10.9.5?

Post by kingkaos »

I know MOTU officially supports AVB only on the new higher then 10.10.* of Mac OS X.
But since AVB is already implemented in Mavericks i was wondering if there is a way to change a *.plist or other preference file to make AVB Devices work on 10.9.5 too.

A number of things work in other than the officially supported environments. An example is DP 7.24 in Yosemite or El Cap—it works but there is no support from MOTU if you have an issue.

The only way to tell is to download the drivers and see. If they will work, there's not going to be any trick that enables them. Otoh, if there's an OS requirement for 10.10 or later, then nothing you do in Mavericks will work.
