MOTU MIDI Express XT - Clockworks and Time code Sync issue

Hey Everyone,

We are having issues with Clockworks and Time code sync with our MIDI Express XT.

Clockworks
After switching the MIDI Express XT on and launching Clockworks, the software interface is blank. The only way to have clockworks populate with our previous settings and display the incoming time code is to unplug and re-connect the USB connection to our MacBook.

MIDI Express XT - Sync issues
We are using the Express XT as our MIDI time piece, converting LTC at 23.976 from a house system to MTC 23.976 to sync recording into Pro-tools. Our editor has advised that around 30% of our delivered audio is out of sync by 1 - 3 frames.

We have ensure the settings in clockworks are correct e.g. external source, matching frame rates etc and have no idea what to do next.

Any help guys?
