Hello, everyone!
I've been working on getting my instruments migrated off USB and onto MIDI. I've just installed an Express 128. Right now, I'm trying to run a very simple test and I'm failing...
1. I've got latest El Capitan drivers installed from MOTU.
2. I've got a Software Track created in Logic Pro X and configured as an External Instrument.
3. It's routed through 128 Port 1, MIDI Channel 1.
4. I have drawn some MIDI notes on the timeline and pressed play. It is now looping.
5. Physically connected to 128 Port 1, and running on MIDI Channel 1 is a Moog Sub Phatty.
6. I can see Port 1 on the 128 blinking as the MIDI date is sent from Logic.
7. I can see the MIDI Activity light blink on the Sub Phatty.
8. I tried this with a Korg MS20 mini with same results.
That's great! MIDI! Here's the problem...
1. Each note appears to be triggering MIDI twice. Once on press, once on release.
2. No notes are actually being played on the Sub Phatty.
3. I know it's not an output problem, because I can hear the notes when played directly.
This sounds to me like the MIDI CC being sent is wrong? Can this be mixed up in the 128 somehow? Am I off base, here? What's up? Thank you!
