If you use CueMix and a monitor controller you don't need the lcd... At least I don't.

Markus,

True, I don't normally look @ the LCD. I realize the lcd panel mirrors cuemix. Maybe I'm anal, but I want eye candy too

It is a hassle to ship, and wait though.

If out of warranty, MOTU has a refurb trade in program.

That being said, it is known that these screens are stock component items. Mouser and others carry them. I don't recall a thread that gives the part number but others have reported it easy to figure out once you have it in hand using the screen specs and pin configuration.

If you go to this link and scroll down, there's a .doc you can download where someone wrote out the process with lots of pictures.

Thanks for the link, Mike. I did see the fix previously posted.

Its still in warranty, 2 years per the manual. Since I purchased from Sweetwater, I have an additional support- though I probably will not need it.

I'll just get a RA for the swap, and use my 1224 in the meantime.

Well, finally received the 2nd replacement- 1st one was pretty much DOA- power supply.Did they even have it on a work bench?

New one has firmware 1.03, not sure I want to update the firmware to 1.06 with all the news about interfaces being bricked. As a matter fact, I think my original died about a week after updating the firmware to 1.06. Conikidink'?
