Any chemical you like?

Proud owner of a new used 24i. Just got today and some of those delicious 24 ins are a little scratchy.

Been using Deoxit for a very long time with no ill results. I don't know if you can get Cramolin any more.

Yes, DeOxIt and DeOxIt Gold.

They were Cramolin products a long time ago—I was a dealer back then. I've not heard of Cramoln in decades.

Caig Fader Lube is also a very good product for plastic pots. Lubricates and keeps that nice "feel".

Can of Deoxit on the way. Thanks, everybody!

HC, appreciate the tip on the fader lube too. Have some older gear that might need some of that.

I'm pretty sure that this is the basic formula for Cramolin—still have an old bottle somewhere.

I keep a can of it on my utility belt next to the WD-40. Drives the ladies wild.

most problems clear from simple exercise of the connections. goes for tube noise too. pull things out, plug them back in, rotate them a bit. Deoxit never hurts either.

Caig makes several Deoxit products. There's a product guide in pdf format on their website and a product selection page. Make sure you have the correct product for your particular application for best results. Deoxit is a staple in my seashore-town studio. It's saved my ass on multiple occasions.

Can of DeoxIT D5 arrived a couple days ago.

Wow!

I was 85% sure this 24i was gonna have to go in to Motu for repairs. Sound on channel 11 was intermittent. When I did get signal, it was sometimes clean but most times distorted.

Followed the directions and now the sound is perfect!

Thanks so much for the help.
