El Capitan USB Drivers

Post by Scatz »

Anyone know when MOTU will release the revised USB drivers for El Capitan - namely the 8Pre drivers.
It's been at least a month since the Beta drivers were released but I'm having an issue where the 8Pre stops sending audio after about 20 minutes of use.
If I open the "Configure Hardware Driver" window, the 8Pre doesn't show up (that's if I can open the window, sometimes it won't even open). it seems to just stop communicating with the Mac.
Changed the USB cable and same thing happens.
I'm only using the 8Pre to play back 5 or 6 backing tracks and Video for live performance (with DP8).
Could it be that USB cant handle Audio and Video at the same time?
Never had the problem when using Yosemite.
DP11, MacBook Pro 12.0, 16 Gig Ram, Motu 828MKll FW, 8Pre USB, 2 x 8Pre FW, Motu Micro Lite,
Lexicon, Yamaha, Mackie, dbx, Roland TD20 etc, etc.......

I answered in the other thread where you posted the same question earlier. Beta 4 has been available since November 4.
