Need a fifth guitar input for Track 16!

Hi, forgive me if this is an incredibly stupid question... I'm developing a project and I need an extra independent guitar input into my Track 16. I've exhausted the Hi-Z inputs and the XLR's. Is it possible to route a guitar signal into the Line-in inputs? Possibly with additional hardware? Is there another option I don't know of? Thanks for your help

Any of a number of direct boxes or will do what you want. Sweetwater carries 125; Musicians Friend only carries 84. Passive, active, tube, solid state... too many choices. Then there are mic preamps that also double as DI boxes, I didn't search for them.

The really cheap ones have no decent low end. The $50 Imp 2 from Whirlwind is an old reliable unit but that's Hi-Z to mic as most are. If you are looking specifically for Hi-Z to line, they're out there. A Mackie 802 or 402vlz will do that for you, too.

I've had one of these behind a patch bay permanently connected to input 1 of my interface for about 20 years. It does just about everything. Very nice on bass. In a pinch it works backwards for re-amping too.

With regard to the Zbox... with only one output, won't that cause the signal to come out of only one side if I plug it into one of the Line In inputs?

It depends on how you set up the routing inside your DAW and/or Cuemix. You ought to be able to use the inputs as mono channels but route them to stereo busses in the DAW, or simply pan them to the output pairs, if that's what you want.
