828 (original) compatibility with Mavericks/Thunderbolt?

Post by dasterndastern »

Hi all:

Just acquired an original 828, using it fine with an old G4 tower, OS 10.3.8. Now thinking...

Hmmm. Maybe I'll hook it up to my laptop - a Macbook Pro, running 10.10.4. The question I have is:

Will the interface work? I'd need to get a Thunderbolt/Firewire adapter... anyone have any experience/insight into this issue?

Thanks, in advance...

My 828 original works just fine with my late 2013 iMac running Yosemite.

Last I used mine it worked fine! Think that was on Yosemite... That damn thing just keeps working... I've been dragging it around at after parties (we used it originally to record live bands at a regular event every week) in a plastic bag, I smashed the ADAT out connector so it now scrambles around inide the unit... It's battered and bruised but just keeps on working. Except I don't have ADAT out for obvious reasons ;)
