Anyone experiencing problems post 10.10.3 Yosemite?
-----------------
When I plug my Firewire to thunderbolt adapter in (both ports) the MOTU software pops up - it takes a bit of time - but when I open sound preferences - it is "Not Responding" - and after stabilizing it the output / input options for Mac speakers/headphones and microphone no longer show up either. The entire system begins to slow down as well after I plug it in.
Just tested it on my Windows PC and it works - so not an issue with the unit... could be my Mac as well? but doubtful.
My mac is mid 2014 13 inch with Retina display. Reinstalled the drivers and no solutions.
Anyone?

No problems here on a mid 2011 iMac with driver 1.6 64254.
Does this mean you are hot swapping the FW cable? If so, please don't! I sincerely hope that you haven't fried anything. Good luck.jackroland wrote:

Not an issue here either. I'm using TB to FW convertors on a late 2013 trash can.

Maybe I did fry something then. Although the cable is still getting warm so I assume its working appropriately. The MOTU software is also loading up. When I eject the Firewire cable, and go into System Preferences and click on sound options it freezes and takes about 2-3 minutes to load! Then it no longer shows my Mac Device sound options --> even though I'm getting sound through my macbook speakers / headphones

Is there a notion to use an external power supply? It might be a weak voltage thing? Also, NEVER hot swap ANY FW cable while ANYTHING connected to it is powered on. Just don't!
