So I just received my 1248 today. I had work so I only had a short amount of time to play around with it but I couldn't get the inputs figured out completely.
My question is, can I use the mics pres, guitar inputs, and line in 1-8 all at the same time? When I open pro tools and select an Input for a track, it only shows IP 1-8, spdif 1-2, adat 1-16, and loop 1-2.
I plugged in a mic and mic inputs 1-4 = IP 1-4 in pro tools. Guitar inputs 1-2 = IP 5-6 in pro tools. I didn't check the line ins but I can only assume line ins 1-2 = IP 7-8 in pro tools.
So where are my line in 3-8 going? Where are there inputs in pro tools?
I hope I've worded this specifically enogh so I can get the proper advice.

How about tech support? Yes true.
But how about the forum made specially for Motu?..
And yes I've read the "manual". It's a glorified spec sheet. Not helpful in the slightest.
But I figured out the problem. My I/O settings in pro tools were still set for my previous interface.
I changed the I/O and everything's good now.
User error.
