Complete noob questions here, please be gentle. I've done a fair amount of Googling and examined the subject titles of all 18 topics in this sub-group, before posting this.
I was just given a HD192 interface and PCIe-424 card. I realize this is somewhat old equipment now but I am quite excited to explore the possibilities of this equipment on my Mac.
I'm not exactly sure what my final use will be but I am thinking I will probably use a DAW like Logic, Live or DP to combine some virtual instruments and some live inputs from the HD192 interface.
Q1. Any reason why I can only see 8 channels in the DAWs I have started playing around with? I've seen mention of this and similar limitations with Pro-Tools gear, I was just wondering why? Especially as I [think] I can see all 12 in CueMix.
Q2. What is a common set-up combining CueMix with a DAW (which I suspect contains the answer to Q1. above).

You may need to launch the PCI Audio Setup app and enable the inputs and outputs you wish to use.

MOTU PCI Audio Setup.app is found in your Applications folder when you install the drivers.
