I have a Macbook Pro Retina (Late 2013) running Yosemite and use a 8pre as my main audio output for my monitors (as well as inputs when I'm recording). The 8pre is connected via firewire through a belkin thunderbolt dock http://store.apple.com/us/product/HB865 ... press-dock. Everything has been great except recently when I installed Windows 8 via Bootcamp. I installed the Windows drivers and everything works great in Windows. The problem is when I reboot from Windows to OS X, my left channel audio gets distorted. I can reset it to factory settings to fix the problem like shown here http://www.motu.com/techsupport/technotes/8preleftnoise
The issue is that this happens EVERY time I switch from Windows 8 back to OS X. So I'm having to constantly reset the device. The distortion is only for my computer output, the inputs sound fine. The distortion also only appears in OS X and is fine in Windows.
Any solution ideas other than constantly reseting the device? Could this be something fixed in the future through firmware updates?
Thanks in advance.
