Fastlane & protoolsHD 11.2.1

Hi,
All of a sudden every time i select a MIDI output on the PT mixer's channel my protools application freezes and crashes!
The first channel i select a MIDI output of an external module there is no problem,
but every second channel i try to select a MIDI ch output - crashes the pt application.
I am using Protools and the fastlane for many years with no problem.

I must add that logic pro x works with the exact same setup with no problem.
Trashing all pref. ,repairing permissions and even installing a fresh new Protools application did not help!
Any known compatibility issues about it?

Any idea how to check/solve this problem?
my setup is:
Mac mini i7 quad core late 2012 running OS 10.9.4, protools 11.2.1, MOTU fastlane

I don't know for certain but my Fastlane went south after a couple of years and that was the symptom. I called MOTU and they confirmed it. I replaced it with something else (MTP AV) that's still working great.

I'd call MOTU or post a Tech Link with Support.

Have you downloaded and installed the latest drivers?

Although my fastlane works perfect with logic x pro as with protoolshd 8.0 on anither (g5) mac i will try to get another MIDI interface to check on m ypthd 11.2.1 .
I could not find anything about a compatibility conflict on the web.
To my best understanding there should be no problem with the pthd11.2.1 but even after reinstalling the app the problem was not solved..
