Hey everyone.
I'm an happy owner of a 4Pre and Microlite. Now I need to extend my inputs in my home studio and I was thinking to buy an used 8Pre FW version. My question is:
- does this 8pre work on thunderbolt adapter? if yes can I daisy chain the 4 pre on the 8 pre connected with the thunderbolt adapter?
- if doesn't work on thunderbolt, on my macbook mid 2012 I still have the fw800 out, can I daisy chain the two interfaces with FW800->400 adapter and than FW400->FW800?
I run Mountain Lion on my mac with 8 gb ram.

MOTU daisy chaining is clearly detailed in their manuals. Have a look there.
If the Thunderbolt<>Fireware adapter does what it says it does then it should work.
