I've been here for an entire 5 hours trying to get this to work. Needless to say I'm frustrated.
I'm running an oldschool Powermac with OS8.6 and a 324 card. I can't for the life of me figure out how to select the PCI 324 card as the main audio outputs for the system audio. I've tried EVERYTHING. The PCI Sound Manager driver is in the extensions folder and every time I check the sound output in the Monitors & Sound control panel it's constantly stuck on Built-In.
Somehow this was working just a couple days ago, but a format wiped that out. I remember it switching from Built-In to PCI 324 and it worked fine, though I couldn't switch back to Built-In. That doesn't bother me however.

There's a Sound control panel, and a Monitors & Sound control panel. It was hidden in the older Sound control panel. Son of a...
