How Do I monitor via Logic X as opposed to CueMix FX?

Post by brooklynmuse »

Hi all,

I'm a newbie here a - forgive me if this is a simple fix, I would be incredibly grateful for your expertise!

I just downloaded Logic X and it seems that despite my audio preferences all being aligned with what they were before in Logic 9, I have software monitoring and yet, the CueMix FX is insisting on being the monitoring. Is there a way to disable? I'm totally lost!

My set up is simple - couple mics and guitar into Motu Track 16

under motu audio setup:
"enable core audio volume controls"
Sample Rate 44100
Internal
Default Stereo Input vox mc
Default Stereo Output - Main Out 1 -2
Phones Assign Phones 1-2
Optical Input Disabled
Optical Output Disabled
Main Oct Assign Main Out 1-2
Return Assign Analog 1-2

Under Logic Audio
:
Core Audio Enabled clicked
output device: Motu Track16
input device: Motu Track16
io buffer size 32 samples
resulting latency 3.2 ms roundtrip
24-bit recording checked
software monitoring checked
input monitoring only for focused track and rcord-enabled tracks unchecked
independent monitoring level for record-enabled channel strips unchecked

Processing threads - auto
process buffer range - medium
rewire behavior - off
max scrub speed - normal
scrub response - normal

I/O Assingmnets output
stereo
output: Output 1-2 (Stereo Output)

You have Main Out set for monitoring in your hardware, and Logic is sending output to Analog 1-2 because Logic always defaults to the first physical pair of outputs.

You have to change one or the other, either in MOTU Audio Setup, or Logic Audio preferences.
