2 8pre with Logic Pro X

Post by myron »

Hi

I recently replaced my 828mkll/8pre setup (after about 10 years) with 8pre USB/8pre.

The first thing I miss is the additional outs for my recording booth. Is there a way to utilize the main output on the second 8pre, inorder to have 2 outputs? It's connected via ADAT connection.

Maybe connect them both with firewire/usb and then create an aggregate device in AMS. If you were using DP you'd lose your thru hardware monitoring, but since it's Logic I think your latencies will be about the same.
