Motu 828 MK11 Buzzing power supply

Post by chriswell »

My power supply on my 828 mk11 is physically buzzing. You cannot record with a mike in the same room as the unit which puts my studio out of order. I called Motu, but because I am an outcast for getting the "Black Lion Mod" done to the unit, they won't give me any help at all. Thats sorry since I've been a Performer user since the Mac classic in 1986 till now with 8.06. But that aside I am at the point of buying a used unit on Ebay to swap Power supplys.

Any suggestions from the forum?

Chris

Contact Black Lion.

Since the FW port is usually what goes down on these and not the power supply, look for a dead one to buy for parts.
