motu 828 mk2 - cant use the "smpte out" output

hi everyone!

I have a question regarding SMPTE synchronisation.

For severals show we did i used 2 x Mac G5 computer to run audio sequence for a show. One is the backup of the other, running the same Digital Performer project.

Each G5 have a Motu 828 mk2 attached to it. We always used the smpte in and out of the 828 mk2 to sync our computers, so when you press start on MAIN digital performer project computer, the backup computer started exactly at the same time at the same location.

The setup was fairly simple : i took the smpte out of my main 828 mk2 and plug into the smpte in of the backup 828 mk2.

Well now that i've upgraded from dp 4.6 to dp 5.13, the smpte out doesnt work anymore. I tried on both 828 mk2. I still can do what i used to do, but i have to take one of the analog output for smpte out, thus im loosing one output to do the smpte sync, and on my setup i already use the 10 outputs for audio.

Is there anybody who have the same bug? And the smpte in is still working.

There is some spec from my setup :

Computer 1 (main)
Mac Pro - G5 2 x 2ghz - 6gb ram

Computer 2 (backup)
Mac Pro - G5 2 x 1.8ghz - 3gb ram

On both computer
Digital Performer 5.13 (LEGIT version)
Motu 828 MK2, firmware 1.01, driver 1.6 54199
