Why is Audio MIDI Setup adding devices every time I power up
Ok. I have a G5-2.5-Tiger-DP 7 (7.01) with a MTP AV and #2 Express Xt's connected.
Every time I power up, Audio MIDI automatically adds another Express XT device. The last time I checked, there were 112 XT's??
I always end up cleaning it up and removing them all but for some reason I can't remove the last "Bogus" XT device.
Anybody?
Thanx~Jeff

Heh heh. Too effin' funny. My post from 2010! Well....I still have this problem from time to time but not near as bad. Never got any answers, so let's see if we catch any fish this time! [WINKING FACE]

Replacing the battery in my MTP AV solved this problem for me.

Yes, I believe.... at the time, that I did just that, as well as update firmware etc. Of course, since then my Mac and OS have been updated as well. Although not near as bad now, this problem does pop up now and then.

Re: Why is Audio MIDI Setup adding devices every time I powe
Opened DP and my MIDI Time Piece had been disabled in Mac MIDI setup preferences. I hit the rescan button and it made it enabled. Go figure...

My Motu 828 mk 3 does this, I just turn it off first and on last, now I don't get the problem. Not ideal but I can live with it.
