i have an 828mk3 FW and cuemixFX is fluxuating my CPU from 50%-70% constantly, just at idle without interacting it at all and it goes up from there if i do anything on it. im only using 1 TOSlink out so DSP is always at 0. I thought MOTU states that the unit is not supposed to use the computers CPU at all, thats why i bought the thing. is it bad drivers? ive tried most of em, but am using i think the most current 4.06.6814. any ideas? thanks.
running an older asus P5Q 3.0Ghz duocore2 8G RAM

If you are not using them, turn off any remote-control stuff in the "Control Surfaces" menu. That can add some overhead there. But 70% is definitely high - I never see that much on mine (I have the hybrid version and come in via USB... could it be the Firewire???)
